Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Business Central Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Business Central development, with expertise in migrating from older Navision versions to Business Central. Additionally, the candidate should possess good knowledge of server administration associated with Business Central or Navision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Business Central solutions that meet business requirements
  • Lead migration projects from older Navision versions (e.g., Navision 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018) to Business Central, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Develop and deploy customizations, extensions, and integrations for Business Central using AL language, C/AL, and other relevant technologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Business Central development and migration
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and other team members
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for Business Central solutions and migrations
  • Ensure compliance with Microsoft's security and best practices guidelines for Business Central development
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall code quality
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure team to ensure smooth server administration and maintenance of Business Central environments

Server Administration Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage Business Central servers (on-premises and cloud-based)
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of Business Central environments
  • Manage Business Central databases, including backup, restore, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot server-related issues, including performance, connectivity, and security problems
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect Business Central environments and data

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Business Central development, with a strong focus on customization, extension, and integration
  • Proven experience in migrating from older Navision versions to Business Central
  • Strong knowledge of AL language, C/AL, and other relevant technologies used in Business Central development
  • Experience with server administration associated with Business Central or Navision, including installation, configuration, and management
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft's security and best practices guidelines for Business Central development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Experience with modules Finance, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Warehouse Management and Manufacturing
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders and team members
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Nice to Have:

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate certification
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as Azure and Power Platform
