As an IT & Business Operations Specialist, you will manage and optimize essential IT infrastructure and operations, overseeing technical support, systems administration, and business operations initiatives. You will maintain system reliability and security, provide strategic technical support to staff, and collaborate with leadership to identify and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency

Requirements

What does a day in the life of a PLUS IT & Business Operations Specialist look like?

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming IT requests and IT support issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and access to relevant business applications.
  • Lead IT orientation sessions for new employees and oversee the offboarding process for end-user assets and accounts.
  • Set up and support AV systems in conference rooms, including for client-level meetings.
  • Support special projects related to hardware and software enhancements and troubleshooting.
  • Act as the primary internal contact between PLUS and parent company IT team to address user needs and maintain IT compliance standards.
  • Provide ad hoc operational support across the organization as needed.

What does it take to be a PLUS IT & Business Operations Specialist?

  • 2-3 years of help desk experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools).
  • Experience with service ticket management systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar).
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working and communicating with individuals at all levels and with various vendors and contacts outside of the firm.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent requests and projects.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Work independently on IT projects with minimal supervision while remaining adaptable to environmental changes and communicating technical updates effectively across all organizational levels.

Benefits

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule that includes both in-office and remote work. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is eligible for overtime pay.
