Job description

Position Overview:

The IT Business Operations Specialist supports enterprise IT operations through financial coordination, procurement management, portfolio tracking, and operational support. This role serves as a key liaison between IT, Finance, and Procurement teams, helping drive visibility, governance, and operational efficiency across technology initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of financial acumen, organizational skills, and cross-functional coordination experience within a fast-paced environment.


Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3-4 Days In-Office)

Base Salary: $65k - $75k


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking activities across operational and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor actual spend versus budget and assist with variance analysis and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate invoice validation, accrual tracking, and financial close support activities.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor onboarding coordination, and contract tracking processes.
  • Administer and reconcile procurement card (PCard) transactions while ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls.
  • Maintain IT portfolio tracking, demand intake processes, and initiative pipelines across multiple technology functions.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting related to financials, portfolio performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Support prioritization discussions and governance activities with IT leadership.
  • Assist with executive reporting, presentations, leadership meetings, and administrative coordination for senior IT leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Procurement, and other business stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and reporting accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies across IT business operations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT operations, PMO, IT business operations, financial coordination, or related functions.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes within an IT environment.
  • Experience supporting portfolio management, demand intake, and governance processes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and IT stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with procurement workflows, including purchase orders, invoicing, and expense reconciliation.
  • Experience working with enterprise procurement, financial, or workflow management systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills, including dashboards, pivot tables, and financial analysis.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • General understanding of enterprise technology functions including applications, infrastructure, security, and data environments.
  • Experience with procurement card (PCard) administration is a plus.
  • Experience supporting senior IT leadership or executive operations is a plus.
  • Ability to leverage AI and automation tools to improve productivity and operational workflows preferred.
