The Business IT Enablement Manager serves as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and IT, aligning technology services, processes, and capabilities to business outcomes. This role drives adoption, improves service performance, and governs managed service provider (MSP) outcomes, enabling business value through optimized user experience and operational excellence.
Job Summary:
Oversees information technology related activities within assigned scope of responsibility for one or more major functional areas within the information technology arena. Provides high quality, cost effective, and efficient systems and service delivery to meet current and future demands. Identifies and pursues opportunities for improving service delivery methods and support procedures. Monitors industry trends for applicability and technology direction. Optimizes technology approaches to support company business processes and technology information systems platforms. Provides oversight and direction regarding assigned team, financial and operational activities.
Principal Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and translate business requirements into IT service solutions and priorities
  • Drive adoption and effective use of IT services, tools, and platforms to support business objectives
  • Ensure alignment to ITIL/ITSM processes, improving service quality, consistency, and user experience
  • Oversee managed service provider (MSP) performance, including governance of KPIs, SLAs, and operational deliverables
  • Lead service reviews with internal teams and MSP partners to monitor performance, address gaps, and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify, analyze, and implement opportunities to enhance service delivery processes and operational efficiency
  • Monitor service performance trends and provide reporting and insights to support data-driven decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams (Applications, Infrastructure, Network, Service Desk) to ensure end-to-end service delivery
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of IT services and technology solutions aligned to business needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, digital experience enhancements, and service optimization efforts
  • Provide guidance and oversight across operational, financial, and partner management activities within assigned scope
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and audit requirements
  • Deliver user enablement through training, communication, and support of IT services and tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Level Specifications:
  • Extensive knowledge and application of principles, theories and concepts. Complete knowledge of all job functions and the broad industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires in-depth evaluation of variables. Determine best approach to achieve results and provide suggestions to improve policies and procedures.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Work may be reviewed at a high-level.
  • May represent the organization as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects. Interacts with senior professionals and management and frequently coordinates work between departments or organizations.

Work Experience:
  • Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
  • Multiple functional domains; cross-functional IT and business alignment with experience spanning service management, partner (MSP) governance, and operational performance management
  • Typically 6+ years of experience in IT service delivery, business relationship management, or IT operations
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business, or a related field from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained. ITIL certification, PMP, or equivalent preferred
