Role Summary
The Crew Scheduler at Hawaiian Airlines ensures accuracy of daily, weekly, and monthly flight records for all Pilots and Flight Attendants. Responsibilities include inputting information into automated scheduling system, track crew location and disposition, prepare and process of daily flight schedule, record absences, and maintain compliance of Federal Air Regulations. This is a union represented position.
Key Duties
  • Ensures proper crewing of flights and crew notification.
  • Ensures accuracy of daily, weekly and monthly flight records for all Pilots and Flight Attendants.
  • Accurate inputting of information into automated scheduling system.
  • Accurate updating of information onto crew charts.
  • Track crew location and disposition.
  • Preparation and processing of daily flight schedule (DFS).
  • Check-in and sign off of flight crew members.
  • Input flight logs.
  • Recording absences of flight crews e.g., sick, company business, vacation.Must have the ability to supervise, lead and direct the work of, and provide practical training to others. Is responsible for the scheduling of crew to ensure:
    • Compliance with Federal Air Regulations (FARs).
    • Maximize utilization of flight crew.
  • Compliance of ALPA and AFA Labor Agreement.
    Provide monthly crew availability projection.
  • Audit crew duty hours.
  • Handle crew payroll discrepancies.
  • Supervision of lower classifications/levels.
  • Processing Crew Payroll.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the understanding and application of regulatory and contractual documentation (FARs, Pilots & Flight Attendant contracts, etc.).
  • Must have the ability to critically and logically solve problems.
  • Must have math problem solving skills.
  • Must have knowledge of calculating in military time.
  • Requires 30 WPM keyboarding skills.
  • Must have ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have knowledge of Airport Codes (Domestic and International) or the ability to learn.
  • Must have the ability to calculate and understand in different time zones.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred
  • One (1) year work experience in Crew Scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Crew Track, Crew Pay, and Crew Management System.
