COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION


Commercial Operations Analyst Responsibilities:

The Commercial Operations Analyst has the ultimate responsibility for providing quality and timely customer service to all commercial fuel customers. This position involves direct customer service with all fuel customers as well as indirect customer service interaction with suppliers, vendors, terminals, third party carriers, etc. and communication with the entire Commercial Fuels Team. The Commercial Operations Analyst will report directly to the Commercial Fuels Manager.



Commercial Operations Analyst duties will include, but are not limited to:

 Responsible for monitoring the fuel inventory for commercial accounts

 Forecast and project fueling needs/deliveries based on recent or prior orders/sales

 Dispatch customer loads utilizing third party carriers

 Manage existing third party carrier relationships, set ups and research potential third party carrier relationships

 Resolve terminal issues

 Prepare and submit freight requests

 Manage, monitor, update and communicate market allocations utilizing supplier portals and TABS software

 Record daily allocations into daily orders tracking spreadsheet

 Provide customer service through support with product questions, placing orders, loading and allocation issues

 Communicate with customers on a daily basis in a professional, friendly manner in an effort to help and resolve issues

 Provide customer service by communicating all product shorts, overstocks or other issues to customers, research billing discrepancies, assist with customer setup paperwork and account changes/additions

 Update CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system documenting all calls and/or other communication with customers

 Create, maintain and update customer files

 Field after hours calls, when applicable



Experience/Qualifications:

 High school diploma or equivalent

 Prior operations or customer service experience

 Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills

 Ability to multitask and time management skills

 Computer proficiency and software skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
