POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager โ€“ Transportation to join our growing transportation company. This role is focused primarily on driving revenue growth through the sale of asset-based transportation services, with additional opportunities to sell brokerage, warehousing, dedicated transportation, and logistics solutions. The ideal candidate is a seasoned transportation sales professional with an established customer portfolio, a proven ability to generate significant revenue, and experience successfully working generally from a home office environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and grow transportation sales throughout the Midwest region.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities for asset-based transportation services.
  • Focus on selling and developing backhaul opportunities within transportation operations.
  • Leverage existing customer relationships to expand revenue and market share.
  • Cross-sell additional company services including transportation, brokerage, warehousing, dedicated transportation, logistics solutions
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurately manage opportunities within CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account growth.
  • Regularly and routinely required to work off site and travel to visit prospects, leads, and customers to obtain orders, maintain business and generate new business.
  • Field and place customer calls and emails to accept orders and shipments and provide shipment updates when needed.
  • Engage customers daily via phone, e-mail, or face-to-face meetings.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years of transportation sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success selling transportation and logistics services.
  • Current annual sales production of approximately $3.5 million or more in revenue.
  • Strong customer following and established industry relationships.
  • Residence within Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, or Kentucky.
  • Proven track record of successfully working from a home office environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
PREFERRED:
  • Asset-based transportation sales experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or a related field.
  • Experience using Salesforce and ZoomInfo.
  • Candidates with transportation sales backgrounds rather than primarily brokerage-only sales experience.
  • Sales professionals currently under a non-compete agreement will be considered.
