Description

Lead the Rushville Manufacturing Launch of our new to-the-world Oil Free Centrifugal product platform. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager you will work closely with Copeland enterprise teams to accelerate and successfully introduce this program. Your focus will be on manufacturing and collaboration with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality and Execution related colleagues such that we deliver a prepared and capable team to take ownership for all process and product related activities for the OFC ramp-up. Ensure a strong focus on customer experience, delivery assurance, establishing robust supply networks, business and manufacturing process optimization, operational flexibility and protecting expected lead times. Foundational understanding of Best-in-Class Manufacturing strategies, Critical to Quality Process Development, Copeland Business System, Program Management, Enterprise Optimization, New Product Development, and Kaizen will be helpful in the role.

Responsible for the transition of new product into full production readiness. Responsible for creating requirements and specifications for production test tools, either directly with development teams or by collaborating with product test engineers. Define and develop product support plans. Coordinates program vendor activities including design, tooling and parts suppliers to ensure cost, delivery and quality targets are met according to customer requirements and schedules. Manage operations and ensure support in place for new product line launch and production.

As the Operation Manager, you will:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team to successfully deliver new product line compressor launch

  • Meet schedule commitments for key launch partners (Including Safe Standard Work, Product Quality, Cost, risk mitigation and operational strategies)

  • Lead cross functional teams through very complex aspects of the project

  • Lead and facilitate strategy deployment process implementation and development within the business and site locations

  • Communicate overall strategy, schedules, and resource requirements

  • Communicate project status and forward plans throughout the organization and support the enterprise with preparation and support for key meetings

  • AOP and Strategic Bowlers and action plans as needed

  • Copeland Business System Leadership & Engagement

  • Work with Leadership Teams to prioritize and resource specific new product projects

  • Lead and facilitate new product projects to impact identified critical metrics. Identify upcoming requirements, milestones, opportunities and best practices

  • Drive and improve business processes in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution, IT, Human Resources, and Engineering

  • Work collaboratively with enterprise leadership team to continuously improve processes (i.e. tools, techniques, analysis, exhibits)

  • Identify and leverage Best Practices across global manufacturing sites

  • Leverage shared learnings to improve overall implementation process through Kaizen and other rapid improvement processes

  • Engage Business Units as needed to ensure that operational plans are established and on track for customer service level and supply chain excellence

Required education, experiences & skills:

  • Strong desire to optimize enterprise processes - Q2C

  • Facilitation or Consulting (Internal or External) Experience

  • Clear demonstration of getting results through teams

  • Willingness to lead others, coach and mentor, and expand accountability / leadership responsibilities

AboutOur Location

Our2-building campus offers a safe and clean work environment with a "family" atmosphere. We manufacture new semi-hermetic compressors and take the worn-out, failed compressors out of the field and remanufacture them to"like new"status, as well asmanufacturecrank shafts. Approximately 200 employees work in Rushville and are an integral part of our organization. A 2-building campus allows for learning and growth opportunities for all our team.
