Job description

Position Summary...The Associate Experience team is looking for a Senior Manager of Business Analysis & Insights who excels at turning insights into action. This role is not just about uncovering trends — it’s about translating associate feedback and workforce data into clear, prioritized actions that drive measurable business outcomes.
This leader will operate end-to-end — from framing the question, to gathering and analyzing data using a variety of tools, to delivering executive-ready insights and recommendations. They should be comfortable self-serving data when needed, while also partnering with analysts to go deeper, ensuring speed, accuracy, and impact.
They will own the narrative and activation of insights through compelling storytelling, dashboards, and strategic recommendations, and be equally comfortable working in the data and influencing senior leaders to act.
Think of this role as part analyst, part strategist, and part change agent — someone who ensures insights don’t stop at awareness, but lead to real, tangible impact across the business.
About Walmart Global People:
Leaders and individual contributors alike look to our Global People teams to influence strategy, optimize working models and enable the business to achieve results while preserving the fabric that sets us apart and keeps our 1.5M+ associates coming to work every day. By providing the necessary tools and insights, our People professionals operate as partners at every phase of workforce planning, talent management, organizational design and change management. From building communities to preparing Walmart for the future, to be a member of this team is to operate as a vital component to our sustainable success. Together, we think beyond the status-quo and inspire others to evoke positive change. When you join us in Global People, you immerse yourself in our culture, becoming a trailblazer and a true agent of influence. What you'll do...
  • Translate associate feedback (ideas, concerns, engagement trends) into clear, prioritized actions and recommendations tailored to executives, field leaders, and People Partners.
  • Independently gather, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources to respond to business questions and deliver end-to-end insights.
  • Partner with analysts to validate and explore data, uncover trends, and define the “so what” and “now what” that drives business decisions.
  • Design compelling dashboards, reports, and presentations that simplify complex data and make it easy for leaders to take action.
  • Build insight narratives that connect data to business outcomes, ensuring leaders understand not just what is happening, but what actions to take and why.
  • Drive alignment and follow-through on key insights by influencing stakeholders and ensuring insights translate into measurable impact.

What you'll bring…
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently pull, analyze, and interpret data using tools such as Excel, Qualtrics, Power BI, or similar platforms (no heavy coding required).
  • Ability to own the full lifecycle of an insight request — from ambiguous question to data gathering, synthesis, and delivery of an executive-ready recommendation.
  • Advanced data storytelling abilities — you can take raw data and turn it into clear, compelling, action-oriented narratives.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into business action, with examples of driving measurable outcomes — not just reporting on data.
  • Experience in mature insights environments (e.g., customer, product, or marketing analytics) where closing the loop from insight to action is expected.
  • Experience designing user-friendly dashboards and reports that serve both senior leadership and frontline audiences.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment and action across a range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate with immediate impact in a fast-paced environment, quickly building context and contributing without a long ramp-up period.
  • A strategic, action-oriented mindset that connects trends in associate feedback to business priorities, operational improvements, and measurable results.
