Summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a talented Business Analysis, Associate to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, SC location. We need your outstanding analytical skills to review and accept new software, review external systems changes to ensure continued functionality and reporting, and provide systems maintenance.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of business, systems, and operational processes for financial management and operations
  • Provide project management support to client management, including planning and leading projects, documenting business requirements, assessing risks, ensuring deadlines are met, and communicating project milestones and results
  • Communicate effectively with global personnel to resolve complex problems related to the financial management systems. Provide technical guidance on the many systems used by staff and global clients.
  • Develop and document best practices to identify opportunities for streamlining, standardization, and increased productivity and accuracy
  • Understand customers' business processes and practices and translate that knowledge into clear requirements
  • Act as a catalyst in resolving issues relating to Federal accounting operations and functions
  • Provide expertise on customer procedures, policies, regulations, and operations and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in specifically assigned areas.
  • Provide advice concerning business standards and processes, utilizing expertise to perform analysis of system interface issues and processes, and the resolution of system errors
  • Review test plans and results to make suggestions for changes based on expertise.
  • Responsible for tracking all systemic issues reported to Production Support team to ensure resolutions are identified in a timely manner for all reported issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional work experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Access)
  • At least 5 years reviewing and evaluating systems, procedures and regulations
  • 5 years of systems analysis and design experience in any combination of the following areas: Requirements gathering; System design reviews; Implementation Support; Business process analysis; or Issue resolution
  • Expertise in presenting business process solutions in an easy-to-understand manner for the client in both verbal and written form
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and client interaction skills
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems and propose solution
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Detail-oriented Self-starter with initiative to identify concerns and suggest options for resolution

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with CGI Federal Momentum software
  • Education/experience in accounting, ideally in Federal Government accounting
  • Project management experience with software development lifecycle; testing, implementation, and support
  • Experience with Federal Agency systems or processes
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

For this position, the projected compensation range is $95,000 - $116,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
