Job description

PPG is looking for a Business Analysis Specialist to join the team. You will work with business partners to clarify and communicate business requirements to bridge the gap between technology and business processes. You will align IT products and services with business needs. You will report to the Associate Manager, Operations Front Line IT.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate implementations for MES (GE MES) for Sites based in Americas.
  • Ensure project coordination with external vendors, diverse IT teams and business.
  • Project follow up and management
  • Participate in requirements gathering, configuration and process design sessions.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate assigned business area's products and processes Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, testing and working with business processes
  • Understanding of how IT effects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processesโ€ข Technical skills to support user requests independently with standard tools if available
  • Networks with other PPG Analysts to understand how IT solutions are deployed in other areas to solve business problems
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to learn quickly to develop effective working relationships across a diverse team of functional, technical, and business partners
  • Ability to support software delivery as needed with product manager interactions, specifications and user stories development as needed
  • Ability to support test plan development and change management activities as needed
  • Knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
  • Project Management Skills - ability to lead and deliver small projects independently.

Qualifications
  • A four year degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of IT or a related discipline experienceโ€ข
  • Must have a strong systems and process orientation
  • Track record of participation on IT project teams
  • Must be comfortable working remotely using primarily virtual means of collaborating with colleagues and managers
  • Technical skills to support minor user requests such as ad-hoc reports, data extraction, etc.
