Appointment Setter
Department: Admissions
Reports To: Admissions Director
Location: Manhattan School of Computer Technology (MSCT) โ€“ Brooklyn, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Appointment Setter is responsible for making outbound and inbound calls to prospective students, qualifying leads, and scheduling appointments with Admissions Representatives. This position is the first point of contact for many prospective students and plays a critical role in generating interviews and supporting enrollment goals.
The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily activity and appointment goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead Management
Contact prospective students through phone, text, email, and CRM.
Respond to inquiries promptly following Speed-to-Lead standards.
Qualify prospective students based on program interest, availability, and eligibility.
Maintain consistent follow-up with assigned leads.
Update all lead activity in LeadSquared (LSQ) or the assigned CRM.
Appointment Scheduling
Schedule appointments for Admissions Representatives.
Confirm appointment date, time, and location.
Send appointment reminders via phone, text, or email.
Reschedule missed appointments when appropriate.
Maintain a high appointment show rate.
Customer Service
Provide accurate information about MSCT programs.
Answer general admissions questions.
Build rapport with prospective students.
Deliver excellent customer service throughout the admissions process.
CRM & Documentation
Record all conversations and follow-up activities.
Update lead status accurately.
Ensure all required notes are entered after every interaction.
Maintain data integrity within the CRM.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with Admissions Representatives.
Communicate lead quality and appointment updates.
Participate in daily team meetings and training.
Support departmental enrollment initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Customer service, call center, or sales experience preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Admissions or higher education experience.
LeadSquared or CRM experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, or other languages) preferred.
