Their role often involves using customer relationship management (CRM) tools, making phone calls or sending emails, and managing calendars to optimize the time of managers. They play a crucial part in streamlining operations and supporting a manager's workload, especially in sales-driven or client-focused industries.

Job description

Appointment Setter (Remote) — $1,500 Base + $50 Per Show | No Experience Required

Employment type

Full-time · Remote (US) · Entry level

Job description

We'll teach you the script. You bring the work ethic.

Marketing Simplified helps Americans nearing retirement protect what they've spent 30 years building. We run the marketing, we generate the leads, and our setters get those people on the phone with a licensed advisor.

We are not asking you to cold call. Every single person you dial raised their hand today — they filled out a form asking for information about protecting their retirement savings. Your job is to call them fast, have a real conversation, and get a qualified appointment on an advisor's calendar.

This is a phone job. If you like talking to people and you're competitive about a number on a board, you'll do well here. If you want to hide behind email, this isn't it.

What you'll actually do
  • Call inbound leads within minutes of them coming in — speed is the whole game
  • Have real conversations with people aged 55–79 about their retirement, their concerns, and what they're trying to protect
  • Qualify each lead against a simple checklist (age, retirement status, assets)
  • Book the appointment on a licensed advisor's calendar, ideally inside 72 hours
  • Confirm your appointments so they actually show up — a booking that no-shows doesn't count
  • Log every call, text, and outcome in the CRM so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Follow up on the ones who don't answer the first time. Or the fifth time.

Expect 100+ dials a day. That's the job. The people who hit their numbers here are the ones who don't slow down at 2pm.

What we're looking for

We care more about drive than résumé. There is no experience requirement — we've had people with zero sales background outperform 10-year veterans.

You need:

  • A clear, warm phone voice and the ability to hold a conversation with someone twice your age
  • Thick skin — you'll get hung up on, and it can't rattle you
  • Reliability. You show up on time, every day, and you're on the phone when you say you are
  • Coachability. We have a script, a playbook, and call recordings. You'll be reviewed and corrected constantly
  • A quiet workspace, a reliable computer, and stable high-speed internet
  • Comfort with a CRM and a dialer (we'll train you)

Nice to have, not required: any prior phone sales, call center, retail, restaurant, or customer service experience. Insurance or financial services background is a plus.

Compensation

$1,500/month base + $50 per qualified show — uncapped

  • $1,500 base, paid every month regardless of performance
  • $50 commission on every qualified show — an appointment you booked where the prospect actually shows up and meets the qualification criteria
  • No cap. There is no ceiling on how many appointments you can book or how much you can earn
  • Paid [weekly/biweekly]

We pay on shows, not bookings. That's deliberate. It means we're aligned: you're rewarded for booking people who are genuinely interested and genuinely ready, not for stuffing the calendar with no-shows.

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Local Time
  • Full-time, 40 hours/week
  • 100% remote

What you get
  • Paid training — you will not be thrown on the phones cold
  • A steady flow of inbound leads. You're never asked to find your own
  • Proven scripts, objection handling, and a show-rate playbook
  • Weekly 1-on-1 coaching with call reviews
  • A clear path: top performers move into senior setter and closer roles

How to apply

Do not just click Easy Apply. We won't see it.

This is a phone job, so the application is a phone-style application. Here's what to do:

Record a 60-second video of yourself and email it to johnny@marketingsimplified.io

  • Subject line: Appointment Setter — [Your Name]
  • Attach your résumé to the same email
  • Film it on your phone. Selfie camera is fine. We are not judging your lighting

In the 60 seconds, tell us:

  1. Who you are and why you want this job
  2. A time you kept going after being told "no" over and over — what happened
  3. What you're trying to earn per month, and why that number

That's it. No cover letter, no portfolio.

We're listening for how you sound and how you carry yourself, because that's exactly what a 68-year-old is going to judge you on when you call them. Speak like you would on the phone.

No video, no review. Every video that comes in gets watched.
