Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...About the Role The Senior Manager, Product Management leads a critical domain within the platforms and workflows that power how Product, Design, and AI teams plan, prioritize, align, and report at enterprise scale. This role sits within Tech Prioritization, which steers Walmart’s technology investments at scale—aligning strategy, funding, and people to maximize enterprise value. We drive decisive focus on what gets built, when, and why—so we move faster, reduce friction, and convert Walmart’s scale into structural competitive advantage. This leader operates at the intersection of product strategy, platform architecture, enterprise workflow governance, and cross-system integration. The role partners closely with the GTP Engineering team, serving as the primary product counterpart to their engineering support of the Airtable platform and its integrations. In the near term, this role will share responsibility for integration strategy and reporting infrastructure (e.g., Jira, Confluence, BigQuery, Power BI, API contracts). Additionally, this leader will provide enterprise oversight of Airtable usage beyond Product—ensuring EDLC alignment, reuse of capabilities, adherence to platform best practices, and prevention of redundant builds across teams. This is a hands-on leadership role with enterprise visibility and influence. The scope includes potential direct people leadership as the team scales. This role reports to the Director, Product for Product.
What You’ll Do Platform & Integration Leadership (Shared Ownership)
  • Partner with an existing PM to support integrations between planning systems and execution systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Serve as the product counterpart to GTP Engineering for Airtable platform performance, scalability, and technical roadmap alignment
  • Contribute to defining API contracts, canonical data models, and reporting pipelines (BigQuery, Power BI, executive dashboards)
  • Participate in architectural reviews and technical trade-off decisions
  • Ensure cross-system traceability from strategy through execution and reporting
Enterprise Airtable Governance & EDLC Stewardship
  • Provide structured oversight of Airtable usage across enterprise teams beyond Product
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise development lifecycle (EDLC) standards for teams building on Airtable
  • Promote reuse of shared solutions and prevent duplicative builds across business units
  • Establish and reinforce platform best practices across schema design, permissions, automation reliability, performance, and data validation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure they receive the guidance and support needed to build effectively while maintaining enterprise coherence
Product Strategy & Continuous Planning Enablement
  • Translate organizational strategy into scalable product capabilities across roadmaps, intake, prioritization, dependency management, and reporting
  • Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability and technical debt management
  • Drive continuous planning enablement
  • Contribute to the evolution toward intelligent, automated, and agent-enabled product workflows
Product Craft & Lifecycle Leadership
  • Lead initiatives through the full product lifecycle from discovery through delivery and iteration
  • Author clear, structured product requirement documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Develop user journey maps, workflow diagrams, and system documentation for complex enterprise processes
  • Define and monitor product health metrics related to adoption, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
  • Evangelize platform strategy and roadmap direction across senior stakeholders
Organizational & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Simplify complex technical and system concepts for executive and non-technical stakeholders
  • Influence across Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Strategy, and AI partners
  • Drive alignment across federated teams operating with varying maturity levels
  • Contribute to defining scalable operating standards for product management at Walmart
  • Provide leadership and coaching where applicable as team scope expands
You’ll Be Successful If You…
  • Have deep experience working across the full product lifecycle in complex enterprise environments
  • Demonstrate strong user story writing, journey mapping, wireframing, prorotyping, and workflow diagramming skills
  • Are comfortable understanding a product’s tech stack and engaging in technical discussions with engineering partners
  • Have hands-on experience with Airtable, including schema design, automations, permissions, and enterprise-scale configuration
  • Have experience supporting integrations, APIs, data contracts, and reporting infrastructure
  • Operate effectively as a product partner to engineering teams on shared platform ownership
  • Bring exposure to Product Operations or enterprise workflow standardization
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to simplify complex problems and align senior stakeholders
  • Think in systems and prioritize scalability, governance, and reuse
  • Can influence across large, matrixed organizations
  • Are comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on levels
