Position Summary:

This position is a discretionary position. This position is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Install and maintain hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors, and cylinders.

  • Install and maintain utility equipment including, but not limited to, boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical equipment.

  • Change out and setup equipment.

  • Complete prefabrication related tasks and run machine shop equipment.

  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.

  • Ability and willingness to work on demand in emergency situations.

  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

  • Able to complete all paperwork CMMS/SAP functions.

  • Keep all work areas clean.

  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.

  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.

  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements:The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability and willingness topush/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level up to 40 pounds frequently.

  • Ability and willingness tolift with arms up to floor to waist and waist to shoulder up to 40 pounds.

  • Ability and willingness touse both hands for rapid mental muscular coordination, simultaneously.

  • Ability and willingness toreach high and low levels, frequently.

  • Ability and willingness tostand/stoop/walk/bend up to 10 hours.

  • Ability and willingness toclimb stairs.

  • Ability and willingness towork in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 10degrees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
