Position Purpose
The Facilities Manager leads facility, infrastructure, and production equipment operations across all company locations, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective performance. This role translates organizational strategy into clear, actionable execution plans while overseeing the Facilities Operations Supervisor and Equipment Operations Supervisor to drive alignment, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop Facilities and Equipment Operations Supervisors
    • Establish clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration between facilities, operations, and leadership
    • Foster a culture of safety, ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement
  • Strategic Planning & Asset Management
    • Develop and execute long-term facility and equipment strategies aligned with company growth
    • Translate organizational goals into actionable plans and roadmaps
    • Oversee lifecycle management of facilities, infrastructure, and production equipment
    • Standardize asset management practices, systems (CMMS), and performance metrics
  • Operations & Maintenance Oversight
    • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs
    • Ensure reliability and performance of facility infrastructure and production equipment
    • Establish consistent processes, KPIs, and work management practices
    • Monitor operational performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Financial & Vendor Management
    • Manage operating and capital budgets within approved parameters
    • Lead budget planning, forecasting, and cost control efforts
    • Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities, including energy optimization
    • Oversee vendor selection, performance, and contract management
    • Ensure vendors meet safety, quality, and service expectations
  • Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements
    • Oversee safety programs, audits, and corrective actions
    • Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and incident response
    • Promote safe work practices and accountability across all operations
  • Facilities Expansion & Capital Projects
    • Lead facility expansion, site selection, and real estate evaluations
    • Assess properties for operational fit, infrastructure capability, and scalability
    • Oversee facility build-outs, renovations, and major equipment installations
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
    • Maintain alignment with brand standards, customer experience, and executive vision
    • Manage relationships with architects, contractors, brokers, and external partners
  • Continuous Improvement & Performance
    • Drive Lean, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Standardize SOPs, work instructions, and 6S practices
    • Leverage data and systems to improve performance and decision-making
    • Optimize utility usage and identify energy efficiency opportunities
    • Collaborate with municipalities and regulatory bodies on compliance and infrastructure
  • Reporting & Communication
    • Provide regular updates on performance, risks, and capital needs
    • Support strategic reporting and presentations for leadership
    • Ensure alignment and communication across departments and stakeholders

Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • 5-10 years of facilities, maintenance, or operations leadership.
  • Strong financial, technical, and project-management skills.
  • Experience with CMMS, maintenance programs, and facility systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean/TPM and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.
  • Ability to support off-hours emergencies and travel as needed.
  • Physically able to navigate facility environments, including bending, kneeling, climbing ladders and stairs, accessing roofs, lifting, and performing other physical tasks as required.
