Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Description

The Mechanical Assembly Technician analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs a broad range of complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and optical equipment down to the component level. This role focuses on diagnosing technical problems, performing precise mechanical assembly and repair, and ensuring equipment similar to ATM and mail-sorting systems operates reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment down to the component level across a broad product line of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, and optical systems.
  • Diagnose technical problems on mechanical product lines, identify root causes, and determine appropriate repair strategies.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly of equipment, including replacement, adjustment, and calibration of components.
  • Use hand tools and other appropriate tools to perform detailed mechanical and electro-mechanical repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment similar to ATM and mail-sorting machines, ensuring proper function and reliability.
  • Document findings, repairs performed, and parts used in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with other repair technicians to share knowledge, resolve complex issues, and support continuous improvement.
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines while working on mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly handled and stored.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
