Job description

Mail Clerk Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking student employees to fill the role of Mail Clerk. Reporting to the Mailroom Coordinator, the Mail Clerk position contributes to the efficiency of campus services through customer service, coordination, package tracking, and helping to ensure reliable delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and package.
  • Prepares and processes outgoing mail and shipments, including packaging and labeling.
  • Provides customer service by responding to inquiries and directing requests via in-person, telephone and email.
  • Operates and maintains mailroom equipment following institutional guidelines.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and functional work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Students with work study may be prioritized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills

Work Schedule The mailroom is open Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm. Student shifts are roughly 3-4 hours per day, typically 8-10 hours a week.

Additional Information Must be able to lift 25lbs. We ask that you wear non-slip closed toe shoes. Hair must be tied back when operating machinery.

Compensation The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
