Job description

As a Warehouse Manager at SwiftX Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations in our warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring that all processes run smoothly for both sorting and dispatching, from managing staff to coordinating with delivery service providers. Your leadership will directly influence the effectiveness of our logistics network and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements

1. Sorting Operations Management
  • Lead end-to-end operations of the automated parcel sorting process.
  • Ensure accurate scanning, induction, sorting, and dispatching of last-mile packages.
  • Monitor sorting line throughput, accuracy rate, and downtime.
  • Optimize workflows to improve capacity, speed, and cost efficiency.
2. Sorting Machine & Equipment Oversight
  • Operate and supervise automated sorting machines and related equipment.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair requests.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors/technicians to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with machine operation protocols.
3. Workforce & Staffing Agency Management
  • Forecast labor requirements and coordinate daily/weekly staffing needs.
  • Manage relationships with staffing agencies, ensuring quality and performance.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, scheduling, and productivity for temporary and full-time workers.
  • Monitor labor KPIs including attendance, efficiency, and performance.
4. Operational Compliance & Safety
  • Enforce warehouse safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, equipment checks, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure all employees follow SOPs, scanning rules, and parcel-handling standards.
5. Inventory & Parcel Flow Control
  • Maintain real-time visibility on parcel volume, flow, backlog, and exceptions.
  • Coordinate with linehaul, dispatch, and last-mile delivery teams.
  • Ensure SLAs for parcel processing and outbound dispatch are met.
6. Reporting & KPI Management
  • Produce daily/weekly/monthly operational reports (volume, throughput, error rate, labor cost, etc.).
  • Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and drive operational improvements.
  • Present performance updates to senior management.
Qualifications
  • 0-1 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or last-mile logistics operations.
  • Hands-on experience with automated sorting machines (cross-belt, tilt-tray, loop sorter, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of parcel logistics, last-mile delivery flow, and SLA requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage large operational teams, including staffing agency workers.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in WMS, scanning systems, Excel/Sheets, and operational dashboards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
