The Opportunity: IST is looking for a friendly, service-oriented, customer focused Mail Room Coordinator candidate with a passion for excellence in Boston, MA. Ideal candidates will possess prior mail and shipping experience, in addition to strong interpersonal and organizational skills. 

Hourly Compensation: $20.00 to $21.50 USD per hour, DOE


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with on-site services provided
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude; Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Shipping & Receiving,  Mailing Supply inventory; Updating employee lists
  • Hospitality - maintain kitchens (ensure kitchen and common areas are clean, well stocked, and presentable for clients and customers; refill supplies as needed, make coffee, etc), also assist with room setups for different meetings
  • Operating Mailing equipment, Scan/sort parcels and packages; Pick-up and deliver mail, parcels, to customers; Lift large bundles of mail, overnight packages and shipments of paper; Handle time-sensitive material like confidential, urgent packages
  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
    • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
    • Maintain all logs and reporting, documentation, attention to detail
    • Able to safely drive provided vehicle to different buildings on campus
    • Adhere to all safety procedures; Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications for the Mail Room Coordinator role includes prior mail and shipping experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, in addition to:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) 
  • Customer Service/ Hospitality/ Retail background preferred; Prior supervisor experience a plus
  • Professional appearance and demeanor; Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds, walking and standing for extended periods of time
