About this Position

This position is tedious, time-consuming, and demanding. Responsibilities for this position include operating an automated mail machine, a multi-line phone system, creating and printing Connors State College ID cards, loading meal plans, and issuing parking permits. Daily tasks will include monitoring the mail room, logging and distributing mail and packages, as well as a daily courier run to the Muskogee Campus, two banks, and the post office. The employee chosen for this position will perform daily office tasks such as filing, analysis, and customer service, in addition to the mailroom duties. Effective communication skills and a high level of confidentiality and professionalism are required. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

  • High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)

Valid Drivers license

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Self-directed, with good organizational skills
  • Computer-literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Ability to analyze detailed data; critical thinking skills required
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process daily outgoing mail utilizing an automated postage machine.
  • Prepare monthly mail usage reports and check requests to be used to replenish machine threshold monthly.
  • Process funds upload to mail machine monthly.
  • Sort all incoming mail and prepare it for delivery.
  • Assure intercampus mail is delivered daily.
  • Coordinate and ensure the completion of a daily courier run to Muskogee Campus to deliver and pick up interoffice mail.
  • Ensure outgoing mail is delivered to the post office daily on time.
  • Receive, log, and process all incoming and outgoing freight deliveries.
  • Maintain efficient daily operations of the mailroom.
  • Transport the Bursar Office (both Warner and Muskogee) deposit to the bank daily.
  • Issue Connors State College ID cards and parking permits for students and employees.
  • Load meal plans on ID cards and troubleshoot ID card issues.
  • Assist students in analyzing and understanding their bursar statements.
  • Assist in the collection process.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and answering a multi-line phone system.
  • Customer service experience and knowledge of postal service a plus.
