Job description

TheMailroom Specialistwill process incoming and/or outgoing mail, either in paper or electronic form, within client service level requirements.

This position is fully onsite at our Florence office at 1323 Celebration Blvd, Florence, SC 29501

Primary Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • Operate automated mail inserter and postage metering equipment.
  • Set up inserter jobs according to production schedules and job specifications.
  • Load documents, envelopes, inserts, and other materials into machinery.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Verify that mail pieces are assembled accurately and contain the correct documents and inserts.
  • Apply postage using metering equipment and ensure compliance with postal requirements.
  • Perform quality control checks to identify missing pages, incorrect inserts, damaged mail pieces, or other processing issues.
  • Sort, tray, bundle, and prepare mail for postal pickup or delivery services.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment malfunctions to management or maintenance personnel.
  • Assist with other mailroom and document processing duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move mail trays, paper cartons, and supplies up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
  • Ability to work around production equipment and machinery safely.
