About You
The Mail Handler plays a critical role in our operations by managing time-sensitive legal documents received both in person and through mail. This position is responsible for accepting Service of Process (SOP) from deputies, attorneys, and process servers, the Secretary of State, and ensuring all documents are processed immediately, accurately, and forwarded to the correct business.
This role requires a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and professionalism, as well as the ability to manage interruptions and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
Service of Process & Legal Document Handling
  • Accept Service of Process documents in person from deputies, attorneys, and process servers
  • Review and verify documents upon receipt to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Process and upload documents immediately to ensure timely notification to clients
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with legal professionals in high-pressure situations

Mail Handling & Forwarding
  • Sort, open, and process incoming mail containing legal and compliance documents
  • Accurately identify and assign documents to the correct business entity
  • Ensure timely and accurate forwarding of documents to clients
  • Research and verify addresses when needed, including handling returned mail

Compliance Support
  • Assist with preparing and mailing resignation notices in accordance with state-specific requirements
  • Follow detailed procedures to ensure all compliance-related communications are accurate and timely

Queue & Workflow Management
  • Manage high-priority, interrupt-driven tasks alongside routine processing
  • Maintain organization and accuracy while handling multiple documents and deadlines
  • Support team operations and assist with additional tasks or projects as needed

Special Projects:
  • Assist with various projects as required, contributing to the overall efficiency of the customer support team.
What You'll Need
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • 1 year plus Customer service experience, preferably in a legal or corporate services setting.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • 1 year plus experience in Microsoft Office
