Job description

AltaStaff is a boutique staffing agency, currently looking for a Mail Processing Specialist (aka Mail Processing Clerk) for our Client Jefferson City, MO.

This is a full time, long term, in-office position.

  • Full time: Monday - Friday

  • Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM CST

  • 40 Hour work week

  • Regular Hourly rate: $16.25/hour

Job Description: The Purpose of the Mail Processing Clerk is to assist in ensuring that the daily mail-room/imaging operations responsibilities are performed timely and

accurately.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Receive, open, prepare, and scan all physical mail

  • Process electronic communications from customers

  • Provides mail imaging and data entry support

  • Input and verify critical information in computer programs

  • Work in multiple computer programs simultaneously

  • Ensure confidentiality and security of information

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in data entry skills including keyboard, mouse, 10-key pad

  • Typing speed of 30-40 wpm minimum

  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift at least 15 pounds as needed
