Examples of Duties The primary duty of this position(s) is to provide clerical support for the Care Center Family Violence Program. Position(s) responsibilities include but are not limited to

• answering a crisis line and a business line
• entering case information into databases
• creating case records
• scheduling appointments for three counselors and one victim advocate
• utilizing Microsoft Outlook email and calendar
• customer tracking
• scanning documents
• maintaining workroom areas
• distributing mail
• ordering and distributing supplies
• copying and filing documentation
• maintaining and performing minor repairs on copiers
• maintaining excel spreadsheets
• and interacting effectively with the public

The employee in this position must be willing to work with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. The employee must be patient and willing to hear traumatic stories and events. The employee must be willing to work overtime if needed. The person in this position must be team-oriented and possess a high degree of flexibility. The position is required to have a general working knowledge and understanding of clerical duties and functions within the section as well as specific tasks assigned by the Care Center Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least one year of office assistant/secretarial experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
