Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Create and manage comprehensive documentation sets including API guides, SDK documentation, technical reference manuals, and advanced troubleshooting content.
  • Work independently with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, support, QA) to gather technical information and stay aligned with product development cycles.
  • Drive documentation planning, content architecture, and updates in parallel with product releases.
  • Review and edit documentation created by other writers to ensure quality, consistency, and clarity.
  • Mentor junior writers, providing guidance on best practices, style, and technical accuracy.
  • Assist in defining documentation standards, templates, and process improvements.
  • Support localization workflows and advise on content strategy for international releases.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects with minimal supervision and proactively identify content gaps.
  • Take ownership of documentation deliverables and lead documentation efforts across products ensuring quality of deliverable.
  • Will be required to utilize advanced authoring and content management tools (e.g., Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, XML-based systems).

What We Are Looking For:
  • Primary responsibility in this senior role involves creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation like user manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, and other related materials for Embedded or IoT Hardware Products (Must), often collaborating with engineering teams to accurately explain complex products or processes to users, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Writing and Editing: Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, system guides, training materials, and reference manuals, ensuring clear and concise language appropriate for the target audience.
  • Technical Understanding: Gain in-depth knowledge of products and systems by working closely with engineers, designers, and other technical stakeholders to accurately capture technical details.
  • Information Gathering: Conduct research, gather information from technical drawings, specifications, and other sources to create accurate documentation.
  • Offshore team: Coordinate with the offshore team by maintaining a clear list of assigned tasks and priorities to ensure transparency.
  • Knowledge sharing: Share key learnings, updates, and challenges regularly so both teams stay aligned and informed. Encourage cross-team knowledge sharing and reviews to improve documentation quality and consistency.
  • Visual Aids: Create diagrams, charts, illustrations, and other visual elements to enhance understanding of complex technical concepts.
  • Standards Compliance: Adhere to industry standards and regulations related to technical documentation, such as S1000D or ATA 100, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, review drafts, and incorporate necessary changes.
  • Content Management: Utilize authoring tools and content management systems to organize, update, and publish technical documentation efficiently.
