ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Ron Mathai - State Farm Agent is seeking a professional, organized, and dependable specialist to support administrative operations and assist insurance agents with daily office needs. As a Intern - State Farm Agent Team Member with our agency, you will serve as a front-facing team member who helps create a strong first impression for customers while supporting internal workflows that allow licensed team members to focus on more complex tasks.
This unlicensed, part-time role is ideal for individuals looking to get their foot in the door in the insurance industry, gain hands-on experience, and become integrated into a collaborative, team-oriented culture. With strong performance, reliability, and trust built with the team, this position may lead to a future full-time opportunity in customer service, marketing, or sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as front desk coverage during assigned shifts, greeting customers in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to text messages promptly and courteously
  • Confirm, schedule, and follow up on customer appointments
  • Connect customers with the Claims department as needed
  • Support outbound calling efforts, including telemarketing, lead follow-up, and prospect engagement (training provided)
  • Assist licensed team members by handling basic administrative and operational tasks
  • Maintain accurate customer records, documents, and office organization
  • Perform light errands, including UPS drop-offs and document deliveries
  • Help prepare and distribute internal communications or marketing materials as assigned
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold a polished, professional presence in the office

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Coursework or expressed interest in Insurance, Business, Finance, Marketing, Operations, or related fields
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to create a positive first impression for customers
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working scheduled shifts between 8:45 AM CST and 7:00 PM CST
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also operating independently
  • Sales experience not required; willingness to learn and follow established processes is essential

Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
