M & A Research Associate (Intern Flex Schedule)The M&A Research Associate (Intern) is a key part-time role supporting our Business Development and Marketing teams in driving firm visibility and promoting our services to targeted prospective clients. The Opportunity

The M&A Research Associate (Intern) supports the Business Development and Marketing teams by researching, synthesizing, and packaging market insights related to M&A, Private Equity, Healthcare and related sectors. These insights will be used to develop marketing and business development content aimed at increasing brand awareness and supporting client acquisition.
The ideal candidate will have strong research and communication skills (both written and verbal), along with proficiency in Microsoft Office to support high-quality project delivery. Candidates with prior Private Equity, Investment Banking or M & A experience are preferred.
The Optimatum Team is looking for a highly skilled individual including:
Key Responsibilities

  • Review and synthesize insights from industry publications.
  • Conduct ongoing research using publicly available sources.
  • Deliver research summaries on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis, aligned with publication cadence.
  • Extract key data points for use in marketing communications.
  • Draft thought leadership content based on research findings.
  • Provide general support across the organization.

Additional Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a masters degree/equivalent or higher
  • Related professional experience in industry or professional services a plus
  • Interest in M&A, PE, Finance, is a must
  • Interest in Healthcare preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Strong ability to research, synthesize and present findings
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams

** The expected hourly salary ranges from $30.00 - $38.00. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
