Job description

11th Hour Service is hiring a full-time 1098 Tax Reporting Analyst to support a USDA federal loan servicing program focused on rural community housing programs. This is a dynamic, non-routine role suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-evolving, technology-forward environment. You will transform complex financial data into narrative-driven insights and support critical IRS reporting functions for Single-Family Housing loan programs.

What You'll Do:
  • Write narrative analysis reports that translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead IRS Form 1098 reporting processes, including annual statement postmarking, data transmission to the IRS, and special correction projects.
  • Build and compile professional presentations to communicate program performance metrics and program health to senior management.
  • Use Microsoft Copilot and other automation tools to streamline and improve legacy manual reporting processes.
  • Conduct specialized data research to identify and resolve reporting discrepancies, maintaining data integrity across federal loan servicing systems.

What We're Looking For:
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables) and SharePoint experience for document management and collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience with IRS reporting, particularly IRS Form 1098.
  • Strong professional writing skills — the ability to synthesize technical financial data into clear, readable narratives.
  • Experience creating polished presentations for executive or senior management audiences.
  • High adaptability and comfort working in a transformational environment with evolving priorities.

Minimum Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).
  • Ability to sign and comply with a government Information Non-Disclosure Agreement and Rules of Behavior.
  • Mid-level experience with MS SharePoint and Excel.
  • IRS 1098 Reporting experience - highly preferred.
  • Candidate must live in Central or East coast time zone.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Pay Rate: $24.03/hr.
  • Employment Type: Full-Time with Benefits available.
  • Schedule: Remote, M-F, 8am-5pm Central Time Zone.
