The qualified applicant will become part of the Northrop Grumman (NG) Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Logistics Team. Creating maintenance tasks for various IBCS components. Develop logistics products to support NG and the Army customer. Perform task and requirements for Validation and Verification events. The position will be in Huntsville, AL.
The selected applicant will perform as a Logistics Engineer and provide Maintenance Engineering for NGC programs to help ensure maintenance requirements are addressed and accomplished. The candidate will work with other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) personnel, system engineers, technical publications teams, configuration management, and Government maintenance representatives to develop Logistics Product Data (LPD) for the IBCS program. The desired candidate must understand the various aspects of maintenance concepts, engineering technical drawings, and supportability analysis to support the program requirements.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance organizational structures as applied to the Army's two-level maintenance concept.
  • Research and provide analysis of equipment and failures.
  • Assist in the development of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)/COMPASS tool Supportability Analysis and develop a LORA verified Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC).
  • The Visual Selected Essential-Item Stock for Availability Method (SESAME) tool experience and spares development.
  • Identifies and reports safety hazards associated with the maintenance of a system or component.
  • Support reliability and maintainability analysis (RAM) for equipment readiness.
  • Technical writing for maintainability tasks.
  • Identify logistics impacts to technical data package approval.
  • Knowledge of logistics and fundamental operation of the equipment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Basic knowledge of Logistics Product Data development.
  • Basic understanding of PowerLog-J for logistics acquisition management.
  • Basic knowledge for understanding two-level maintenance concepts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings for maintenance task development.
  • Ability to research and understand engineering hardware changes.
  • Ability to lead technical briefings with the customer and end user and provide recommendations as to the employment of the weapon system.
  • Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities.
  • Knowledge of Army ADA systems and operations.
  • Understanding of initial spares/repair parts development.
  • Must have knowledge of military supply and maintenance procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Basic Qualifications for a level 4: 8 Years with bachelor's in science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD.
  • Excellent computer skills combined with a mastery of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Exercising a high degree of initiative and exhibiting advance organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance standards with supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fluid environment with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a government or government contractor environment.
  • Basic understanding of logistic elements; supportability, maintainability, and logistics support.
  • Ability to travel to other Northrop Grumman and customer locations (25%).
  • Secret clearance required day 1.

  • Solid understanding of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Supportability Analysis (SA), and maintenance concepts.
  • Understanding of maintenance organizational structures as applied to the Army's two-level maintenance concept.
  • Develop with assistance spares analysis, support equipment requirements, and personnel necessary to optimize the maintainability and reliability of the end item.
  • Powerlog-J lor similar system for Logistics Product Data development.
  • Maintainability Assessment (MA) and Maintainability Evaluation (ME) for operator and field maintainer maintenance and technical manual validation demonstrations.
  • Logistics Demonstration (LD) field maintenance requirements and technical manual validation.

Primary Level Salary Range: $102,000.00 - $153,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
