Compensation for this role is 125,000-135,000 The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.
As a Lead Logistics Engineer- Dedicated Solutions at RXO, you'll use engineering and consulting skills to deliver customer proposals and engineering/consulting projects. You will also find cost savings opportunities through rigorous data collection and analysis that improve the client's supply chain operations. We will equip you with the best tools in the industry to grow and develop to a level that will exceed your expectations.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Review RFQs and analyze customer data to partner with prospects, clarify scope, and deliver tailored, opportunity-aligned logistics solutions.
  • Select and deploy optimization/decision-support tools for operational studies, route optimization, and transportation rate analysis.
  • Identify and implement cost-savings initiatives; build supply chain cost models to quantify total cost of ownership and savings.
  • Learn customer processes to drive cross-functional initiatives and communicate solution enhancements.
  • Coordinate project execution with internal and client stakeholders; deliver transportation-focused process and strategy improvements.

What you'll need to excel:
At a minimum, you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 4 years of experience in one or more key functional areas: supply chain management, logistics, decision support systems/technology, transportation management and distribution or procurement functional responsibilities
  • Experience data mining and generating simulations in Microsoft BI, Access, and Excel to identify and scope opportunities within the customer's supply chain
  • Transportation and network modeling experience
  • Strong knowledge of dedicated transportation services and logistics solutions
  • Experience modeling Dedicated Transportation networks and optimizing through reduced miles, driver scheduling and equipment sharing.
  • Experience optimizing supply chains by designing, implementing, and managing complex and integrated logistics networks

It'd be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering
  • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering
  • Experience with Appian, Supply Chain Guru, ILOG, any Logistix or data modeling
  • Experience developing logistics solutions from central warehouses to customers using multiple logistics points and various equipment types
  • Experience developing solutions which support Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) manufacturing processes
  • Experience in multiple logistics-related systems and transportation management systems
  • Lean six sigma experience
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to deal with complex, urgent situations
  • Aptitude for understanding and solving problems in logistics pricing models
