Job description

Senior Logistician

Huntsville, AL

Logic is seeking a Senior Logistician to support operations in the Huntsville area. This position supports daily publication and forms management activities that directly affect the accuracy, readiness, and sustainment of Army aviation and missile platforms. Senior Logisticians are the team's subject matter experts for DA Form 2028s, MEO dispositions, and engineering-driven publication updates. Their work ensures Soldiers receive reliable, current technical manuals that support safe and effective maintenance in the field. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams, government stakeholders, and operational partners to coordinate tasks, support execution, and provide ongoing customer support in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Forms Management Stream by reviewing, researching, evaluating, and closing out DA Form 2028 recommendations, meeting monthly throughput goals.
  • Review and incorporate Maintenance Engineering Orders (MEOs) into Equipment Publications, ensuring engineering changes are accurately reflected.
  • Analyze ECPs, DCNs, and LSA data to determine impacts on AMCOM-proponent publications.
  • Develop, review, update, and edit AMCOM equipment publications, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans in accordance with AR 700-127 and DA PAM 700-127.
  • Prepare updates to RPSTLs, TMs, and other Equipment Publications based on approved changes such as ECPs, DCNs, DA Form 2028s, PCRs, and LOIs.
  • Support the Technical Manual Development Stream through publication reviews and validation of content against applicable military standards.
  • Verify publication data against Army logistics systems (LMP, LSAR, WEBFLIS, MEARS, CCSS, FedLog, STARPUBS) to ensure alignment with engineering and supply records.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level logisticians participating in publication review and forms management workflows.
  • Participate in Government-led publication forums including IPRs, CCBs, and PSTs.
  • Coordinate daily tasking, status updates, and quality reviews with the on-site LogiCore Task Lead.
  • Report labor hours accurately by category to support monthly CDRL A001 submissions.

Required Qualifications

  • Secret security clearance (active and in-scope preferred; ability to obtain and maintain required).
  • Education and Experience Requirement:
    • High School Diploma and 18 years of relevant Army or DoD logistics experience
    • Associates degree and 16 years of relevant Army or DoD logistics experience
    • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant Army or DoD logistics experience
    • Master's degree and 6 years of relevant Army or DoD logistics experience
    • PhD and 3 years of relevant Army or DoD logistics experience
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing and processing DA Form 2028s, including research, evaluation, and incorporation of recommended publication changes.
  • Experience analyzing and integrating Maintenance Engineering Orders (MEOs) into Army equipment publications.
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting ECPs, DCNs, LSA reports, PCRs, and LOIs.
  • Working knowledge of AR 25-30, AMC PAM 25-31, MIL-STD-40051, S1000D, MIL-STD-3031, AR 700-127, AR 381-12, and related publication and logistics standards.
  • Proficiency with Army logistics systems such as LMP, LSAR, WEBFLIS, MEARS, CCSS, FedLog, and STARPUBS.
  • Familiarity with TMs, RPSTLs, DMWRs, IADS, and IETMs.
  • Candidates may qualify with direct AMCOM ALC experience or equivalent Army publication-change experience gained at AMCOM, AMC, TACOM, CECOM, AvMC, other LCMCs, or Army depots (Anniston, Letterkenny, Tobyhanna, Red River, Corpus Christi).
  • Equivalent qualification may also include Senior NCO experience (E-7 or above) in 88-, 91-, or 92-series MOS roles with publication-change duties, Army Reserve/Guard logistics roles with publication review responsibilities, or contractor experience supporting Army aviation or missile platforms with forms management and ECP/DCN analysis.
  • All equivalent candidates must demonstrate hands-on familiarity with Army forms management processes (2028, MEO, ECP, DCN) and Army publishing standards (AR 25-30 and AMC PAM 25-31). Air Force or Navy publication experience alone does not meet the requirement.
