Overview
SOSi, is seeking a highly qualified Logistics Manager to support our Missions Solutions Business Unit through our DOD approved SkillBridge program. In this role, you will gain valuable work experience through specific industry training and development. SOSi is proud to be an authorized SkillBridge organization through the DOD bridging the skills of service members into their new civilian careers.
In this role, you will gain valuable insight in the areas of logistics management, transportation management, warehouse support, property management and operations support.
Essential Job Duties
Coordinates the planning and implementation of business logistics and maintenance activities; scheduling, allocation; communicates with staff in accordance with established policies and objectives to affect optimal utilization of logistics support services.
Responsibilities:
  • Foster a team-oriented work environment and maintain positive relationships with staff.
  • Provide PR/PO support with the Missions Business Unit.
  • Coordinate local dispatch activities with the local dispatch team.
  • Comprehensive schedule planning based on available resources.
  • Upholding policies, programs, and procedures for local dispatch operations, including schedules, rates, proper uniform standards, routes, assignment of drivers and vehicles, and other HHGs operational activities.
  • Submits recommendations for development of, and compliance with, logistics policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Ensures compliance to agreements and contracts entered into by the company.
  • Works directly with the Missions Business Unit to ensure compliance, adherence to regulations, permit requirements, licensing and driver qualification.
  • Collaborates with Operations Team to monitor the proficiency and recommend process improvements and training solutions to enhance the service to the client.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports, such as revenue and performance records to recommended process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • You may be eligible to participate in SkillBridge if you:
    • Have 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and you have at least 180 continuous days of active service.
    • Obtain approval from your unit commander.
    • Agree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the service if mission requirements dictate.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Logistics certifications preferred
  • Experience:
    • Determined passion for our clients' mission, a bias for action, willingness to think big, provide thought leadership, and commitment to growth.
    • Ability to operate independently, without day-to-day direction, and be a self-starter in all aspects of programmatic and technical leadership, and customer satisfaction.
    • Exceptional demonstrated verbal communication, presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.
