As the leader of the Software Localization Project Management team, you’ll ensure Apple delivers a world-class, fully localized software experience across all OS platforms and applications. In this role, you will guide a team of technical project managers responsible for tailoring localization for global software releases and driving support for international features. Partnering closely with engineering, translation, and QA teams, you’ll make sure Apple products feel as if they were designed specifically for every culture and market.

Description
- Lead a diverse team of project managers responsible for localizing Apple software releases
- Define goals, set priorities, and inspire experienced project managers to deliver their best work
- Own the overall localization quality of each release and act as a champion for international issues
- Partner with teams around the world to schedule engineering, translation, and QA resources aligned with product schedules
- Drive the prioritization and resolution of localizability issues across software engineering
- Evangelize localization considerations across the company to ensure products are designed with international customers in mind
- Define and drive localization process and tool improvements that increase quality, improve turnaround times, and reduce costs
- Scale localization systems and workflows to support global product launches at Apple’s pace and scale
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience in software project management, ideally with global software releases.
Solid technical understanding of software product development
Highly motivated, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
Minimum Qualifications
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex software projects at scale
Strong knowledge of internationalization, localization, and translation management systems
Exceptional cross-functional communication and influence skills
Excellent written and verbal communication with global teams
Experience solving complex problems through software tools and processes
Demonstrated ability to scale localization processes, tools, and teams to support global product launches
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $167,500 and $252,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
