We are looking for a Chinese Localization Specialist to support content quality for game developer-facing materials in Redmond, Washington. This Long-term Contract position focuses on reviewing translated technical and conceptual content, improving linguistic accuracy, and assisting with business-related translation needs. The role partners closely with learning and technical teams to help ensure localized resources are clear, consistent, and effective for a global audience.
Responsibilities:
• Review Chinese localized reference and conceptual materials to confirm linguistic quality, technical correctness, and overall readability.
• Partner with developer experience, learning, and technical stakeholders to resolve terminology, context, and content quality questions.
• Identify translation issues and document defects clearly so corrections can be tracked and addressed efficiently.
• Evaluate translated content using established quality standards and scoring methods for accuracy, fluency, and consistency.
• Translate presentations, communications, and other business documents from English into Chinese as needed.
• Help maintain a high standard across localized assets by applying localization best practices and language guidelines.
• Provide feedback on wording, terminology, and formatting to improve the usability of translated technical documentation.• Detail-oriented fluency in both Chinese and English, including strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting localization work for software, gaming, or other high-technology products.
• Ability to review and understand technical documentation and other complex subject matter with accuracy.
• Familiarity with translation quality evaluation methods, localization standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
• Confidence collaborating with cross-functional teams and asking clarifying questions when technical context is needed.
• Background in technical documentation, translation review, or localization validation is highly preferred.
