We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

As a Senior Manager, Global Marketing, you will lead Netflix's global marketing localization strategy, ensuring members everywhere experience world-class dubbed audio and expertly crafted subtitles that preserve creative intent. With Netflix's continued international expansion and growing content slate, this is a pivotal, high-visibility role at the center of our localization strategy.

The Role

Based in Los Angeles, the Senior Manager, Global Marketing, is the primary global leader for Netflix's marketing content localization, including dubbing, subtitling, and accessibility of marketing assets, across every region we operate in. This role manages and develops a global team of Marketing Producers, setting clear direction and coaching to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cultural relevance, while partnering closely with Global Content Localization production teams to deliver world-class localized content.

You will set team priorities, monitor workload distribution, and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture that empowers Marketing Producers to excel in end-to-end campaign execution. By staying close to market trends, talent pipelines, and industry best practices worldwide, you will ensure Netflix content resonates authentically with audiences everywhere while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Partner with regional leaders worldwide to implement localization initiatives, ensuring effective prioritization and resource allocation across all language services.

  • Lead the rollout of Netflix's Localization vision globally, driving the adoption of innovative workflows and technology in dubbing, subtitling, accessibility, and marketing.

  • Represent global marketing localization needs and insights in operational and creative strategy discussions.

  • Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for Marketing Producers, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and expected outcomes.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team of Marketing Producers, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team culture across regions.

  • Hire, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring continuous growth and engagement.

  • Oversee team performance and development, maximizing each member's contribution and potential.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create tailored development plans for Marketing Producers.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing, training sessions, and best practice workshops to elevate team capabilities and drive consistency across projects, languages, and regions.

  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Advocacy

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Global Content Localization production teams, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional teams worldwide to ensure seamless localization workflows.

  • Advocate for global marketing localization needs, generating insights, business reviews, initiating programs, and influencing localization decisions across all regions.

  • Build strong partnerships with vendors, talent, and industry organizations across regions.

  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues raised by Marketing Producers, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Represent the perspectives and expertise of Marketing Producers in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.

Operational & Financial Excellence

  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of localization workflows globally, ensuring creative, technical, and operational excellence.

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to manage the global marketing localization budget and costs, monitor market trends across regions, and ensure compliance with local union/guild requirements in partnership with regional leaders.

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends across markets to inform strategy and maintain Netflix's leadership in localization globally.

  • Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Marketing Producers using data to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and scalability improvements.

  • Oversee the integration of quality assurance and risk management practices across both project execution and language production.

Thought Leadership & Innovation

  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement, efficiency, and scalability within localization operations.

  • Contribute to a culture of curiosity, responsibility, and innovation, sharing best practices and learnings across teams and regions.

  • Deliver clear analyses and presentations to leadership, translating complex ideas into actionable insights.

  • Lead change management efforts for new tools, workflows, or organizational structures, ensuring Marketing Producers are engaged and supported throughout transitions.

  • Champion cross-team initiatives that drive innovation in both operational and creative aspects of localization.

Representation & Market Presence

  • Professionally represent Netflix - and serve as a visible advocate for your global team of Marketing Producers - in the dubbing, subtitling, and localization marketplace, including at industry events worldwide.

Requirements
  • 8 or more years of experience in content localization, dubbing, subtitling, or international versioning for premium TV/film services, with at least 3+ years managing global, cross-regional, or distributed teams of marketing producers.

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and large-scale localization projects in a fast-paced, global environment.

  • Deep expertise in dubbing and subtitling workflows, localization tools, and best practices.

  • Strong operational management, organizational, and strategic planning skills.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management abilities across cultures and time zones.

  • Proven ability to analyze data, optimize processes, and drive operational excellence.

  • Passion for language, regional authenticity, and delivering an exceptional member experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and alignment between operational and creative/linguistic leads.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build, motivate, and support high-performing, multidisciplinary, globally distributed teams. Shows a strong interest in talent development and succession planning.

  • Experience with accessibility standards (SDH, Audio Description) and emerging media formats is a plus.
