We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Construction Managers to join our team at K&A Power Group in Harford, Connecticut. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

  • Manage all construction activities across transmission, substation, and distribution projects, including budget, schedule, contract adherence, and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Develop and manage construction teams, including internal staff and external contractors, ensuring adequate staffing and performance oversight.
  • Lead constructability reviews and ensure scopes of work are clearly defined in bid documents.
  • Oversee permitting, ensuring timely submission of all required environmental and regulatory applications.
  • Coordinate materials procurement, ensuring all materials are identified, ordered, and delivered according to project schedule requirements.
  • Run weekly construction meetings, documenting progress, issues, and action items.
  • Manage RFIs, Engineering Change Notices, and Change Orders in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Ensure contractor adherence to safety and environmental requirements, including monitoring performance and directing safety initiatives.
  • Maintain construction cash flow and risk matrices, ensuring accurate forecasting and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate outage and energization (O&E) plans, including reviews with outage coordination teams.

What weโ€™re looking for:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 20 + years of construction, maintenance, or related experience (transmission/substation preferred).
  • Qualified to request/hold transmission and distribution clearances and manage/coordinate a crew of several Construction Managers
  • Deep knowledge of transmission, substation, and distribution construction practices.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and construction quality assurance.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement, Legal, and field operations.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required.
  • Proficiency in construction documentation, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Must be local to Hartford, Connecticut

Pay Range: $90.00โ€”$100.00/hour
