Position Overview

The Load Planner plays a critical role in keeping UniGroup’s transportation network running efficiently. In this role, you will plan and dispatch shipments, track orders from origin to delivery, and partner with various stakeholders to ensure on-time, high-quality service.

This is a fast-paced, problem-solving role where you’ll balance priorities like capacity, cost, and service to keep operations moving. If you enjoy thinking on your feet, solving logistical challenges, and working with a variety of partners, this role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan and dispatch shipments to maximize truck capacity and meet delivery timelines
  • Monitor shipments in transit and quickly resolve issues to keep service on track
  • Communicate with agents, drivers, customers, and carriers to coordinate and problem-solve
  • Negotiate with carriers and partners to support cost-effective transportation solutions
  • Track performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service and efficiency
  • Partner with internal teams to support smooth operations and strong customer outcomes
