Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Hamilton, ON.  

Position: Security Guard 

Location: Hamilton, ON

Payrate: $20.10 per hour

Status: Part-Time

Shift: Saturday 08:45 - 17:15 and Sunday 11:45 - 17:15.

          Saturday 08:00 - 17:15 and Sunday 16:00 - 00:00.

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security Professional to oversee one of our sites in Hamilton, ON. The ideal candidate is a seasoned individual with excellent communication skills, and able to work with a dynamic security team. If you have Security experience, enjoy patrolling, and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Must have a valid work permit
  • Valid First Aid and CPR is a must
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months to 1 year security experience
  • Valid Driver's Licence is an asset
  • Deescalation experience and strong communication skills are crucial
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and wireless technology.
  • Ability to stand for a long period of time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, occasionally climb stairs, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the designated area to monitor and ensure the safety and security of the premises.
  • Maintain detailed records of patrols, documenting incidents, irregularities, and any equipment malfunctions.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, property management, contractors, and other property staff.
  • Maintain a professional attitude towards training and security protocols, including emergency response and communications.
  • Address and resolve complaints, ensuring total client satisfaction.
  • Support property management with any additional tasks as required.
