Summary of Job
Are you passionate about working with teens and creating engaging community spaces? The library is seeking an energetic, creative, and service-oriented Part-Time Teen Librarian to support programs and services for teens ages 12-18.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Teen Librarian helps plan and lead teen programs, supports the teen collection, and provides excellent customer service to young people and families. This position plays an important role in making the library a welcoming place for teens to learn, create, and connect.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and leading teen programs and events
  • Create engaging displays and promote teen materials
  • Provide friendly customer service and reader's advisory
  • Assist patrons with computers, homework resources, and library services
  • Maintain the teen area and collections
  • Participate in outreach and special events as needed
  • Provide public service desk coverage

Qualifications, Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; college coursework preferred
  • Experience working with teens or youth strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Creativity, reliability, and enthusiasm for working with young people
  • Basic technology skills
  • Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends
