Records Clerk | Charlotte, NC | Onsite | Pay: $20/hr | 3โ€“6 Month Temp


About the role

A well-established law firm is seeking a Records Clerk to support their Records Management department in Charlotte on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of case and matter files - both physical and digital - in a fast-paced legal environment.


What you'll actually do

  • Create, label, scan, store, and retrieve case and matter files
  • Prepare files for offsite storage in accordance with firm procedures
  • Upload and update file records in the firm's records management database
  • Maintain accurate inventory of physical and digital file locations
  • Support the Records team with general filing, organization, and document handling
  • Assist with special records projects as needed


What we're looking for

  • Prior records management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment a plus
  • Inventory management or general office experience helpful
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, process-driven environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently onsite
