POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is a hybrid position providing primarily on-site support to a DoD customer located in Falls Church, VA. The Mentor-Protg Program Manager provides subject matter expert support for the execution, management, and oversight of the DoD Mentor-Protg Program (MPP) on behalf of the government organization. This role supports the organizations commitment to maximizing small business participation and capability development while ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide end-to-end Mentor-Protg Program execution support, including administration, monitoring, and coordination of mentor-protg agreements.
  • Perform MPP analysis support, including needs assessments, drafting program content, and coordinating reviews of documents supporting issuance and implementation.
  • Research and incorporate applicable legislative requirements, FAR, DFARS, DoD directives, instructions, and guidance into MPP documentation and policies.
  • Support Mentor-Protg Program management, including coordination and review of new agreements and participation in program management reviews with all stakeholders.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics for mentor-protg agreements.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and supporting documentation for government leadership.
  • Coordinate with acquisition, legal, and technical stakeholders to ensure program compliance and effectiveness.
  • Identify best practices, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities to enhance program outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing or supporting DoD or Federal Mentor-Protg Programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD and Federal Mentor-Protg Program requirements.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting federal small business development initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple agreements and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Apps (Word, Excel, Outlook), Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, teamwork, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate organizational/program changes effectively to a varied audience.
  • Ability to travel, primarily in the national capital region (NCR) as required.
