Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned project manager to join our team in a highly dynamic role!  In this role you will support the creation of educational content, including but not limited to video, eLearning, instructor-led, etc. for our automotive clients. The ideal candidate has significant experience in planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within scope and budget, while proactively communicating with senior management, project team members, and the client to meet customer and company expectations.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Project Management

  • Develop and manage multiple projects simultaneously, consistently delivering the highest quality solutions
  • Demonstrate understanding of the business objectives related to each project
  • Proactively bring solutions to clients and company leadership
  • Develop detailed proposals, statements of work, budgets, and timelines
  • Assume ownership of all aspects of project development and delivery, including quality, timing, budget, and client satisfaction
  • Develop and communicate detailed project plans to adhere to timelines
  • Resolve resourcing constraints or conflicts by collaborating with team members
  • Escalate visibility to issues; offer solutions and guide challenges to resolution
  • Oversee project spend, forecasting, and other project-specific financials
  • Maintain routine communications (written and verbal) with senior management and clients concerning all aspects of your projects
  • Take initiative to identify and communicate process improvement opportunities
  • Lead client and internal discussions related to your projects

Project Team Management

  • Establish rapport with assigned project team(s) and key stakeholders
  • Align internal delivery schedules and processes to deliver on client’s vision
  • Clearly and consistently communicate project status to MSX Production Lead
  • Interface with project team members and suppliers, often dispersed geographically
  • Assume responsibility for your content development projects, providing clear direction to and supervision of instructional designers and production personnel.
  • Remain accountable for product quality and final client delivery
  • Manage Assistant Project Manager

Client Management

  • Establish rapport and build relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Conduct kick-off meetings for each project, leading client discussions on scope definition and project details
  • Set and maintain clear client expectations
  • Manage all client communications, including weekly status and presentations
  • Attend onsite meetings at client location when possible
  • Support business development (discovery, estimates, proposals) as required
  • Collect feedback and data to support a continuous improvement process
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years managing projects, including monitoring project scope and budget, creating schedules, managing resources, and client communications
  • Experience managing learning and development projects from start to finish and across multiple formats (web-based, video and instructor-led)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with aggressive deadlines and frequent change
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Strong organizational skills and success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Personal emphasis on extreme attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven client relationship management skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $85k to $110k based on current experience.
