Job description

What you'll do:
The lead of Training & Development leads the training strategy at the site. The role is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training processes and programs at the site. The role develops and implements the initiatives to support the people development strategy at the site. The major objective of the role is to contribute to the organization, team and individual effectiveness through learning and development. The Lead of Training & Development is responsible for consistent application of training standards, collaborating to leverage subject matter expertise, and ensuring materials are relevant and align with organizational culture.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provide guidance to production, technical services and quality personnel, in development and/or modifications to the operators certifications/ cross training processes.
2. Ensure all on the job training materials and certification documentation are in compliance and accurate for all employees and/or processes, as apply.
3. Conducts needs assessment studies to identify training programs to be developed and organizational issues to be addressed, through learning and development. In alignment with functions of HR, Operations, Quality, EHS and CI, develop and executes the wide strategy addressing learning needs throughout the employee life cycle.
4. Recommends and determines instructional methods, utilizing individual training, group instructions, demonstrations, and workshops.
5. Selects, recommend or develops training aids such as handbooks, operating guides, visual aids, and tutorials.
6. Considers a wide variety of learning mediums and approaches appropriate for adult learners to ensure a productive and successful means of training.
7. Ensure effective training program desing, delivery and effectiveness measures for internal training programs, including but not limited to: new employee orientation, job certifications, critical SKA for technical positions as well as leadership development roles.
8. Designs and/or implement content and curricula, blending innovative eLearning and Instructor-led strategies to create highly engaging and interactive programs.
9. Asses training techniques, sets clear objectives and develops evaluation tools to measure achievement of these objectives and explore improvements that lead to meaningful modifications to existing programs.
10. Partners with leaders to leverage subject matter experts, offer strategic guidance on learning, and change management, and represents training as a key stakeholder on enterprise projects.
11. Manages the evaluation and procurement of external programs and resources across various platforms for enterprise-wide use.
Administers the Learning Management System and training related vendor relationships.
12. Lead by example in areas such as safety, Eaton's leadership attributes, initiative, quality assurance, Continuous Improvement, and product knowledge.
13. Support other projects for change management processes implementation.
Qualifications:
Education level required
• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Pyschology or related field.
Years and area of experience required
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing environment.
• Ability to influence the organization for learning opotunities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Fully bilingual
Technical knowledge
• Expertise in instructional design and in On the Job Trainning (OJT) methodologies. Exercises judgement, based on previous experience, practices and precedents to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to exchange moderately complex information across the organization.
