Research analyst role for healthcare machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) research. Primary roles include but are not limited to: (1) Data gathering, cleaning, and analysis of healthcare data from local and national databases to build ML and AI models for healthcare; (2) Implementation of real-world AI applications for clinical use, including within the electronic health record; (3) Data visualization with report and manuscript preparation.
Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher. At least one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; at least one year of experience with Python programming language; and demonstrated effective communication skills and teamwork required.
Gathers, organizes and analyzes data through interviews, literature searches, medical record reviews and related non-lab methods for use in studies, publications and other research related uses.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for applying ML and AI methods for the analysis of health-related data. This includes (1) collecting and compiling data from a variety of sources, including the electronic health record, local data sources, and national databases; (2) developing and training ML/AI models for built on modern cloud platforms including generative and predictive AI systems, agentic models, and healthcare-based operational tools; (3) creating multimodal data environments and supporting infrastructure for secure real-world AI application deployment, including application hosting, web services, and mobile applications. The candidate will participate as part of a larger research team to analyze key outcomes in medical diagnostics and treatment, hospital operations, and healthcare administration. Collects and compiles data from a variety of sources; may enter data into a PC or computer terminal. Statistically analyzes data to include calculating the mean, median, and standard deviation, plotting scatter grams and performing multiple regression analysis in addition to other statistical computations. May edit research papers, project reports, proposals and curriculum materials prior to publication or presentation. Prepares format for final disposition of data; maintains an internal library on project information resources and final data collected. May work with research personnel in the design and preparation of research projects and in recording data.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.
