Job description

The role of Leadership Development Manager has a critical role to play in the next phase of MongoDB's growth. You will help identify critical skills of the future, design innovative learning experiences and ensure that our People Managers are continuously developing the capabilities they need to succeed in a fast-changing environment. You will design, build, and scale learning experiences that will enable people managers to live our values, serve our customers, and ultimately strengthen culture and accelerate performance. This role is part of the Culture, Talent, and Development (CTD) leadership team. As a team, we are responsible for culture and talent building programs, including leadership development, employee learning, talent management, engagement, listening, and inclusion. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: 
  • Design and facilitation of live Leadership Development programs, directly and indirectly through train-the-trainer strategies
  • Influencing and helping other teams to embed leadership development into existing trainings and experiences
  • Program manage development programs and experiences, creating efficient and scalable solutions for enrollment, accountability, and impact measurement
  • Program manage coaching programs, including vendor management & invoicing, internal stakeholder alignment, participation & impact measurement
  • Design on-demand learning and AI supported experiences, aligned to our content roadmap, that will facilitate strong learning outcomes for diverse learning audiences (role, language, learning style, etc.) 
  • Orchestrate alignment across concurrent projects by identifying interdependencies, assessing change-management impacts, and driving clear, priority-based decision making
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders across all levels, ensuring that the project team and stakeholders have an adequate understanding of ownership, timelines, resource needs, risks, constraints, and dependencies
  • Ensure alignment of deliverables, project priorities and resources with business objectives and other People Team initiatives
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, delivering, and program managing Leadership Development programs
  • Strong track record of delivering strategic and tactical solutions in fast-paced, high-change environments, preferably in SaaS
  • Excellence in instructional design, creating engaging and effective learning experiences across multiple formats: Classroom (in person, virtual, and hybrid), On-Demand (courses, microlearning, videos, etc.), Self-Paced development resources, and more
  • Proven ability to facilitate leadership development experiences, with subject matter expertise in core leadership & management skills (performance management, communication, inclusion, etc.) 
  • Expertise in learning program management, including conducting needs assessments, designing learning solutions, and measuring impact to continuously improve programs
  • Experience managing external vendors, including independent contractors and coaches, to complement internal learning and development offerings
  • Experience customizing learning experiences and content to meet the needs of individual business units
  • Exceptional written communication and high-quality project documentation
  • Proven program management capability, effectively planning, prioritizing, and delivering multiple concurrent initiatives on time and within scope
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience managing learning on an LMS, Docebo preferred
  • Holds a coaching certification from ICF, CPCC, Hogan, or comparable coaching accreditation
  • Proficiency in course authoring software, Articulate Rise preferred
  • Previous experience managing people in a direct manager capacity 
  • Experience leveraging AI-supported platforms to scale and optimize training initiatives
