Job description

Esprow is looking for a technically savvy Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to work alongside our sales team to support.
Company Description
Esprow is a highly innovative and fast-growing company with some of the world's highest profile companies as our clients. Working with us, you will be exposed to innovative and cutting-edge technologies and be heavily involved throughout the application development. Our Esprow Enterprise Testing Platform (ETP) is unique in the market of automated certification, testing, and simulation of financial trading solutions. With presence in New York, Singapore, Tokyo, and India, we deliver our technology to clients across the globe. You will have the opportunity to travel and be exposed to the most challenging and high-profile working environments.
Position Summary
Esprow is looking for a technically savvy Technical Pre-Sales Consultant to work alongside our sales team to support the sales of Esprow's software applications. In this role you will provide Esprow's sales team with specific in-depth technical knowledge of Esprow's applications for automated testing and certification of FIX connectivity, during their interaction with existing and prospective clients. This will include providing product demonstrations (demos) tailored to the specific needs of each client, engaging with clients to understand their specific requirements, offering guidance on how to replace their legacy solutions with Esprow's solutions, and supporting clients during enterprise product evaluations and initial phases of their go-live.
To fulfil this role's responsibilities, you must be technically very savvy, in particular with the FIX protocol and other financial protocol (like ITCH, OUCH, and so on), have experience with how financial protocols are used in a real-world trading environment, be sociable and personable, have a genuine desire to help clients succeed by solving their technical challenges, and be ready to come up with your own solutions to solve the challenges that present themselves during lengthy enterprise sales discussions and negotiations.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our marketing team to enrich their marketing efforts by delivering product webinars, participating in industry events and conferences, and supporting their (technical) marketing communication efforts through various media channels (articles, blogs, round-tables, etc.).
Together with the functions of Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, it would be desirable to have experience with business analysis to support the analysis of prospective clients' business flows and be able to suggest the Esprow solutions that best suit their needs. Furthermore, this person should be a conduit between clients and product managers, to feed clients' feedback into our solutions and support the design of our solutions' business flows.
Since Esprow's clients are based worldwide, with a significant part based on the US East Coast, this position requires a degree of flexibility to adjust to clients' time zones when the need arises to deliver product demonstration.
Position Requirements
  • Proven experience and extensive knowledge of the FIX protocol from both technical and business perspectives. This requirement is very important: you must be very familiar with the FIX protocol messages and fields (e.g. multi-leg orders) and how they are used in real-world trading environments for different asset classes and workflows (pre-trade, trade, post-trade).
  • A good understanding of capital markets, how stock exchanges work, and of trading terminology (orders, executions, allocations, settlement, OMS, EMS, etc.).
  • Ability to understand complex trading architectures that may involve multiple systems and multiple protocols, like those used in large financial organizations.
  • Excellent business English, both spoken and written. Esprow works with high-profile clients and we are known for our accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain complicated procedures in a simple and understandable manner, provide clear and concise information to clients during product demonstrations, webinars, when engaging with them at conferences, when carrying out analysis of their business needs, or when communicating with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong client facing presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to details, whether in emails, documents, or verbal communication.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

Position Responsibilities
  • Deliver product demonstrations, product webinars, and technical thought leadership whether at events or through media (e.g. blogs, articles, etc.).
  • Provide the sales team with recommendations on what solutions are available to solve clients' challenges and facilitate the sales process.
  • Address clients' requests for how to best apply Esprow's solutions to their business needs, engage with internal teams to explore the options and solutions available, and follow up with clients to guarantee their satisfaction.
  • Forward in detail clients' feedback, feature requests, and use-cases to product teams.
  • Design the structure of all technical communications with existing and prospect clients, i.e. product demonstrations, product webinars, product evaluations, and so forth.
  • Maintain all systems used during product demonstrations, both client and server applications, to make sure that they are always ready for product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain the same high level of technical clarity and communication across different media, e.g. product guides, user manuals, product brochures, technical marketing, company website, and so on.

Ideal Personality
  • A mature person who can be trusted and who genuinely cares about their job and responsibilities.
  • A positive personality and attitude, able to derive satisfaction from their job.
  • An analytical mind and an inquisitive nature.
  • Self-starter: motivated and able to take the initiative.
  • Someone who can bring external knowledge to the team and continually seeks to improve themselves.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to keep on top of multiple projects.
  • Able to work independently, proactively, and under pressure against multiple deadlines.
  • A team player keen to join a small team and that understands that we succeed or fail together.

Benefits You Will Enjoy
  • Full time permanent position (onsite or remote).
  • Five days' working week [9am to 6pm - with flexitime].
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • 28-day annual leave.
  • Health Insurance (in regions where available).
  • Gym membership discount.
  • Complimentary coffee/tea and snacks (for onsite position).
  • Training and professional growth.
  • Career path in a fast-growing technology company within global markets.

Degree of Autonomy & Level of Authority
Working under the supervision of the Managing Director and able to undertake the necessary work very much independently once it is scoped out.
