Job Requirements — Labor & Delivery RN (Travel RN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submittal (RN license for NH preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery and Postpartum RN experience (L&D nurse, perinatal nursing)
  • Required certifications: NRP, C-EFM, BLS (STABLE and PALS preferred)
  • Experience with LDRP; Nursery/NICU experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect documentation systems (electronic charting experience)
  • Strong clinical assessment, EFM interpretation, and postpartum/newborn care skills
Responsibilities — L&D and Postpartum Nursing Duties
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered maternity and newborn care to mothers and infants
  • Monitor and assess patients using Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and telemetry as appropriate
  • Assist with obstetric procedures including external cephalic versions, circumcisions, and C-sections
  • Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, neonatology, lactation consultants and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Float to other units (Postpartum, Gyn/Pedi) as needed to support staffing and clinical coverage
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Meditech Expanse / CPN Connect and uphold hospital policies and patient safety standards
  • Promote a positive patient experience—support access to doulas, massage therapy, and family-centered care
