To thrive as a Level 3 IT Support Technician, you need advanced troubleshooting skills, in-depth knowledge of operating systems and networks, and usually industry certifications like CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco credentials. Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote management tools, and enterprise-level hardware and software is typically required. Building strong relationships with other technical teams and staying updated on product changes are also crucial for success in this role.

What are L3 positions?

L3 typically refers to a 'Level 3' position within a company's job leveling system, especially in technology firms. It often indicates an entry-level or early-career role, such as a software engineer who has some professional experience but is not yet at a senior or specialized level. The responsibilities usually include writing code, fixing bugs, and collaborating with other team members under guidance. Exact duties and requirements can vary by company, but L3 roles generally serve as a foundation for further professional growth.
