Job description

Systems Engineer MacOS Support

We're looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer to support MacOS baseline management, lifecycle operations, and endpoint automation across an enterprise environment. You'll work closely with the MacOS Lead and Endpoint Engineering Team to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize MacOS configurations and deployments.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining MacOS baseline configurations across the enterprise
  • Support the full MacOS device lifecycle provisioning, patching, upgrades, compliance, and decommissioning
  • Execute automation and scripting tasks including BASH scripting and Apple development practices under guidance of the MacOS Lead
  • Troubleshoot and optimize system configurations in collaboration with senior engineers
  • Support the transition of MacOS device management to Microsoft Intune and assist with ongoing EMM updates
  • Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of OS upgrades and new software across enterprise MacOS devices
  • Document technical procedures, baseline configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and continuity
  • Provide status updates and reporting for MacOS engineering initiatives as directed

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the MacOS Lead and Endpoint Engineering SMEs to complete assigned tasks and deliverables
  • Communicate status, risks, and issues in a timely manner to the Lead and Project Manager
  • Participate in team meetings, technical reviews, and planning sessions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 3 years of experience supporting MacOS environments, enterprise deployments, or IT systems engineering
  • Basic to intermediate BASH scripting proficiency and familiarity with Apple development practices
  • Familiarity with MacOS lifecycle management and endpoint configuration tools
  • Exposure to enterprise mobility management platforms Microsoft Intune for MacOS preferred
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to implement solutions under senior engineer guidance
  • Effective communication skills for team collaboration and client-facing support
