Overview:
SBG is hiring a macOS Systems Engineer to support the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Enterprise Engineering and Operations Support Services (CEEOSS) contract. CISA plays a vital role in DHS by safeguarding the nation's cyber and physical infrastructure, and this position directly supports that mission through enterprise-class endpoint management and engineering. This position is working on-site VA.
The ideal candidate is mission-driven, recognizing the importance of secure, resilient IT environments in protecting national security. We are looking for a team-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, sharing expertise and contributing ideas that drive innovation, efficiency, and program improvement. This role is best suited for a detail-oriented engineer with strong scripting and system administration skills who can also think strategically about long-term solutions.
The macOS Systems Engineer will:
  • Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and JAMF Pro infrastructure used for macOS management.
  • Apply DISA STIGs, patches, and security baselines to ensure compliance with DHS directives.
  • Monitor system uptime, performance, and availability; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain Bash/Python scripts for automating macOS configuration, patching, and security enforcement.
  • Manage JAMF databases, policies, profiles, and packages to support enterprise deployment.
  • Provide Tier 4 escalation support for macOS endpoint issues.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be able to pass a Federal background check
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years administering macOS in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with JAMF Pro administration and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system management.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs, FISMA/NIST standards, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Eligible for DHS security clearance

Education
  • BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline.
