Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist


Location: Orange, CA 92865
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM on early-cutoff days)
 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist / Kronos Payroll Analyst with experience in California Prevailing Wage reporting to join our payroll operations team. This role focuses on Certified Payroll Reporting, Kronos/UKG payroll processes, and payroll compliance within a midsize to large company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and audit payrolls accurately using Kronos / UKG.

  • Enter Certified Payroll reports on the California DIR.

  • Prepare and submit payroll appeals, adjustments, and contribution training fund reports.

  • Collaborate with payroll teams, vendors, and business partners to ensure compliance.

  • Maintain payroll documentation and provide Kronos expertise to the team.

  • Support special payroll projects and process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Prevailing Wage (CA) payroll experience.

  • Experience with Certified Payroll Reporting on DIR.

  • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize responsibilities.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be fully in-person (no remote or hybrid).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with LCP Tracker, Elation, EMARS, or other payroll reporting software.

  • Construction industry payroll experience.

  • Experience with Kronos/UKG systems.
